Manual XY Scanner
Designed for Non-destructive Testing applications, this XY Dual Axis Manual Inspection Scanner can be combined with a portable workstation and one of our TecView™ software packages to provide high resolution B- and C-Scan images. Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, Time-of-Flight-Diffraction and other technologies can be interchangeably used with this scanner. Although manual , this scanner has the capacity to generate C-Scans comparable to the ones produced by immersion or automated scanners. Moreover, this Manual Non-destructive scanner is lightweight and can be easily disassembled and stored in its transportation box for site inspections.

Manual XY scanner
TecScan’s Manual Scanner consists of an XY entry level inspection device that can provide highly detailed images while keeping costs at their lowest. This manual scanner has indexing capabilities that allow very flexible scan configurations.
The scanner has indexing capabilities on both the X and Y axes, giving the user a greater flexibility with scan configurations and allowing more rapid and efficient scans. Each axis is equipped with an optical encoder with a resolution and an indexing step of up to 0.015 mm/Step and 0.5mm/Index respectively. The transducer support is articulated in order to improve the contact between the probe and the inspected part. This manual scanner comes equipped with magnetic bases or rubber leveling pads, an optional vacuum cup support mechanism is available for vertical or overhead inspections. The scanner comes in different sizes and can be custom designed as per clients’ requirements.
Manual scanner with an integrated solution
TecScan provides a complete integrated solution incorporating the Manual Scanner, one of our TecView™ Lite software packages as well as a portable workstation. This combination enables the user to obtain A, B, and C-Scan images that are comparable to those displayed by an Immersion or an Automated scanner. Moreover, the scanner is lightweight and can be disassembled and stored in a transportation case for site inspections.
TecView™ Lite
Along with our range of manual scanners, a TecView™ Lite software can be used to increase the quality of the NDT inspection process. The software package includes a data Acquisition and Management module as well as an Analysis and Interpretation Module.
